I meet people regularly who are petrified of using such a service because they believe that their money will mysteriously disappear due to theft or fraud. Maybe I’m naive, but I’ve never lost a cent by using an internet banking facility, and I don’t get where the fear comes from. Those who do use internet banking usually seem to comment on how convenient it is. This morning, I met a man who lives abroad and remarked that he’d be helpless without internet banking. Money that you deposit with a bank is backed by that bank, regardless of what account type it is. You can’t just magically leak money from an account because you access it using your computer! Again, maybe I’m missing something, but people are just funny about things sometimes. Whatever.
